Festival of the Little Hills Guitar Playing

The Entertainment

As the vaccination roll-out continues, many of us have begun making mental bucket lists of the activities and places we’re eager to return to. For Festival of the Little Hills fans that means standing in Frontier Park in the hot, beating sun for the entirety of the day while listening to your favorite local band, cold beverage in hand.

If that sounds like a dream to you … the good news is that we have the line-up for you.

The 80’s are flying high again and it ain’t nothing but a good time.  Queen’s Boulevard is taking it to the street with a loaded six string and a primal scream.

These boys pump their youthful swagger into the 1980’s hit parade.  These boys pump their youthful swagger into the 1980’s hit parade.

It’s a whole new millennium and these pop rockers are bringing the pyromania to paradise city!

Nothing beats the experience of live music, in great settings where audiences and band members alike create a unique atmosphere while enjoying music that has served as the backdrop for our history and pop culture. That’s exactly what the St. Charles Concert Band has been doing since 1870 – serving as a cultural anchor for the community and bringing audiences together through music. All of our performances are celebrations, offering audiences a fun and free opportunity to experience the big songs that represent music’s past and future.

BORDERLINE

Borderline is a group of seasoned musicians with extensive performing, writing, recording, and touring experience.  This country group was raised on Haggard and Jones, and continues to let their country roots shine through in their performances today.  Borderline originated in the St. Louis Metro Area in the late 1990’s and quickly found an audience that embraced quality musicianship and smooth 3-part harmonies.  A unique sound and constant effort to perfect their craft has afforded Borderline the opportunity to perform at many of the largest venues and events in the Mid-West and share the stage with national touring country artists.

Borderline has been performing at fairs, festivals, clubs, and special events throughout the Mid-West for over 20 years.  In October 2007, Borderline was named the top country group in St. Louis, Missouri by Bonneville Radio Group.

Borderline currently plays today’s top country hits, as well as classic country songs you know and love, and several classic rock favorites.  Borderline is a group of true professionals on and off the stage and is able to adapt their show to any audience.

SAINT CHARLES
BIG (JAZZ) BAND

The Big (Jazz) Band was organized in 1999, drawing mainly on musicians from the Municipal Band, many of whom also played with other big bands in the St. Louis area. In 2000, the 18-piece Big Band began performing one Sunday evening each month during the summer in Frontier Park in St. Charles. Located on the banks of the Missouri River in Historic St. Charles, Frontier Park offers a fabulous backdrop to experience the music performed by the Big Band. The monthly Sunday evening concert series continues today.
